Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, is the largest city and also the economic capital of Vietnam, where most businesses have their largest presence. It is situated by the side of the Saigon River towards the northern part of the Mekong River delta. The city occupies an area of 2,095 square km (809 square mile). The metropolitan area, which consists of the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area, Thu Dau Mot, Di An, Bien Hoa and surrounding towns, is populated by more than 9,000,000 people, making it the most populous metropolitan area in Vietnam. The city's population is expected to grow to 13.9 million in 2025. According to the Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Economist Intelligence Unit and ECA International, Ho Chi Minh City is ranked 132 on the list of world's most expensive cities for expatriate employees.

Direction from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC)
Option 1 (Time: 1hour 45 mins)
Take bus number 03 (Ben Thanh - Thanh Loc), stop at Ben Thanh Market, then change bus to number 102 (Ben Thanh – Nguyen Van Linh – SECC).
Option 2 (Time: 1hour 40 mins)
Take bus number 152 (From Tan Son Nhat Airport to Trung Son KDC), stop at Cach Mang Thang Tam road, then change bus to number 102 (Ben Thanh – Nguyen Van Linh – SECC).

SECC will comprise of four indoor exhibition halls of total 40,000 square meters, additional outdoor exhibition space of 15,000 - 20,000 square meters, one 2,000-seat convention center, one high-rise office tower, and two international standard hotels (a 4-star one with 600 rooms and a 5-star one with 400 rooms). However, in the first phase, a column-free exhibition hall with 9.000 square meters, 6.000 square meters of outdoor exhibition areas, conference hall, meeting rooms, cafeteria and restaurant are now coming online.
