Companies from 15 countries and territories will participate in Vietnam Foodexpo 2016

Just over one month will come the time of the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2016 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2016) held in Ho Chi Minh city. According to the announcement of the Organizing Committee, the areas for foreign exhibitors at the exhibition was fully booked at the very early stage.

These organizations and companies are from 15 countries and territories including Australia, Belgium, Cuba, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Solomon Islands, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Palestine. Foreign exhibitors will bring to the Exhibition diverse products such as tea, coffee, milk, fruit, beverages, vegetables, beans, food materials, machines and equipment for food manufacturing and processing...

Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency which is assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize the exhibition in the framework of the Trade Promotion Program said that, the scale and professionalism of the first Vietnam Foodexpo held in 2015 has brought clear results for businesses in promoting the production transformation to produce trendy products, approaching new processing technology from countries such as Thailand, South Korea...

In 2015, South Korea was invited as the Nation of Honor at the first version of Vietnam Foodexpo. Korean Pavilion was specially staged, gathered Korean businesses with typical food products, health food products and dietary supplements of South Korea.

Being aware of new progresses of the Vietnam agricultural and food manufacturing sector, especially the positive impact of the Vietnam - Korea free trade agreement (VKFTA) which has come into effect since the end of 2015, Korean companies registered to participate in Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 not only exceeded the number of Korean exhibitors last year, according to the Trade General Consulate of Korea (KOTRA), there will be more Korean delegations to visit and match business directly at the Exhibition, with view to sourcing goods from Vietnam.

Following Korea, this year, Italy has invited to be the Nation of Honor in Vietnam Foodexpo 2016. Italian governmental organizations and companies have taken meticulous steps to prepare for their professional participation at the Exhibition, in order to assert its position as a European country with many unique food products, world-leading food manufacturing machines and food processing technology, with view to realizing the promotion of strategic cooperation relations between Vietnam and Italy in the field of agricultural and food manufacturing and trading, to better serve Vietnam’s domestic market and strengthen Vietnam’s export to Europe.

Businesses from Japan also do not miss the opportunity to promote, approach partners at this largest Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition. Having experience of participating in the exhibition held last year and gaining  impressive results, Japan has actively coordinate with the exhibition‘s organizing committee to arrange for the participation of Japanese business delegation in Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 at a large scale, in order to continue to seek for attractive business and investment  opportunities from the exhibition.

Along with that, a significant number of potential buyers from key overseas markets of Vietnam such as the US, EU, Middle East... and many locals have registered to visit and do business transactions at Vietnam Foodexpo 2016.
