Honey won significantly at Vietnam Foodexpo 2016

The Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2016 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2016) which ended on November 19th 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City was a great success of many honey companies. The natural honey brand received a lot of attention from customers at home and abroad.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Linh - Director of Bonie Bee Co. Ltd said that, her company had exported honey material for over 15 years and recently began to produce products with private label. Last year, after joining Vietnam Foodexpo, Bonie Bee received several practical results. In terms of domestic market, Bonie Bee has access to quality supermarket channels. For overseas markets, many large customers have actively contacted Bonie Bee. Bonie Bee therefore decided to join Vietnam Foodexpo this year with greater investment for the booth design, brand positioning and product design.

Bonie Bee’s booth was like a magnet at Vietnam Foodexpo 2016. It was one of the highlights, which contributed to the overall professional image of the exhibition. Bonie Bee’s multi-flower pure and healthy honey products in exquisitely designed glass bottles were specially favored by visitors to the Exhibition.

"Right on the early days of the exhibition, we meet many large honey importers, purchasers from many countries around the world such as USA, Japan, Korea, Thailand, etc. All of these markets are our focus for expansion. At the same time, through the business match making program in the framework of the 3rd Vietnam International Conference on Food Industry (Food Vietnam 2016), we were able to meet representatives of five largest supermarket chain in Vietnam and 3 importers from Spain, Korea and Japan. This is the first favorable step for us to expand partnerships, domestic and foreign markets", Ms. Nguyen Linh shared.

Next to Bonie Bee’s booth, the booth of Tracybee Co., Ltd also attracted a large number of visitors. This year Tracybee’s booth was highly appreciated by European fair and exhibition experts for its impressive layout, prominently figuring the message "Class of fresh". The coffee flower honey products – a specialty of plateau spring, rambutan flower honey with attractive flavor, different gaudy and luxury packs were especially favored by visitors.

Ms. Le Ngoc Thu Trang, Director of Tracybee Co., Ltd said, her company had been involved in many domestic and foreign fairs and exhibitions organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, including the two editions of Vietnam Foodexpo. "Our company understands the way the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency implement fairs and exhibitions. They are very professional and bring participants real efficiencies. At this year's exhibition, we welcomed a lot of visitors to our booth. I think that after the exhibition, we will be very busy because we will need to communicate with many customers waiting for us, "said Ms. Le Ngoc Thu Trang.

The booth of Forny honey brand was designed as a beehive. While the booth of Huong Rung Tram Honey Co., Ltd in Can Tho Pavilion displayed Lucky Bee honey, a specialty from the Western area of the country also welcomed a big number of visitors who came to know and taste several kinds of concentrated mangrove forest honey with a unique flavor.

Tien Giang Honey JSC brought to Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 quintessential honey from Highlands. A variety of passionate and delicious Melaleuca honey, pure logan flower honey; nutritious coffee flower honey; gently sweet forest flower honey of Honey Land brand were favored by many visitors to the exhibition.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 proved to be a valuable destination for honey sector. Many honey companies expressed their wish to continue to have the opportunity to participate in the next edition of the Exhibition held from November 15th to 18th 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Of the hundred products on display at the exhibition, honey was particularly paid attention by the Organizing Committee in cooperation with honey companies to enhance trade promotion activities in the exhibition cause  this is the commodities Vietnam has great potential and prospects for developing export markets in the US, EU, Japan ...

Vietnam is one of the largest honey exporters on the world market. According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam currently ranks 6th in the world and 2nd in Asia (after China) in honey export. To improve competitiveness, as well as creating conditions for honey to penetrate in large and demanding markets, honey companies need to enhance the set-up and promotion of brand images, increase the value added content of products. Vietnam Foodexpo is an efficient marketing channel for honey businesses.
