In the afternoon of November 9th in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) - Ministry of Industry and Trade held a meeting to introduce about the Vietnam Foodexpo 2018. According to the organizer, this is the only exhibition in the industry hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade within the National Trade Promotion Program. The event is evaluated as an international event, specializing in agricultural, seafood and food products with the largest scale in Vietnam.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Export Promotion Center (Promocen) under Vietrade, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 contributes to the overall dynamic development of the food industry in Vietnam; promotes the strengths and image of the food industry; honors the value of companies, products and services in the industry; creates favorable conditions for business opportunities, quickest and most effective trade and investment links.
Besides, the exhibition also motivates technology innovation, productivity, quality and safety in production, processing and trading of agricultural and food products. It attracts 450 domestic and foreign exhibitors, from 31 provinces and cities across the country and 23 foreign countries and territories exhibiting on the entire area of 13,000 m2.
"In addition to product introduction activities, the exhibition also includes a number of other trade promotion activities, such as the Vietnam Food Forum and Business Match-making Event, Seminar on investment promotion in the field of food processing industry in Vietnam; Seminar on improving added value by completing supply chain and food safety management in Vietnam; Sai Gon International Cooking Contest 2018, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 impression Award", said Thuy.
As expected, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 will attract more than 20,000 visitors, including delegations of traders, potential buyers from key markets such as Korea, Japan, China, the United States, France ... and from many localities across the country.
