This is biggest international trade promotion event in the field of agricultural, fishery and food sectors in Vietnam. It is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, implemented by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program.
This exhibition attracts 600 booths of 450 domestic and foreign exhibitors, from 31 provinces and cities nationwide and 23 foreign countries and territories. The exhibition showcases diverse products in the fields of: Vegetables, seafood, beverages, tea and coffee, food ingredients, processed foods, food processing equipment.
The highlight of Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 is the participation of many enterprises having products awarded National Brand and many famous enterprises in the food industry such as Quang Ngai Sugar, SATRA, TH, Tien Giang Food (Tigifood), Dong Thap Food, Phuc Sinh Coffee, Nha Trang bird nests, An Giang fruits and vegetables (Antesco), Phu Thinh food, Sa Giang, Ben Tre coconut, Duc Viet food, Thien Huong food, etc.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, over the past 20 years, Vietnam's food industry has improved its overall production, business, export and domestic and foreign market expansion. Many Vietnamese products have gradually shifted from raw export to deep processed, building brand and conquering many export markets in the world.
The organizer of the exhibition has focused on practical activities to share the production and business trends and global market information, thereby helping businesses adjust their activities to meet consumer tastes.
Particularly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade highly appreciates foreign exhibitors who actively participate in Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 and expects they will showcase attractive products as highlights of the exhibition. In addition, foreign exhibitors will also effectively implement trade and technology transfer activities, creating favorable conditions for domestic and foreign business community to access modern machines, equipment and technology to enhance their competitiveness in the free trade market.
