Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 to have many prominent events

Occurring from 14th - 17th November 2018 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 - Vietnam's biggest food industry exhibition will feature a series of prominent sideline events.

9h30 - 18h00, 14/11/2018: The Vietnam International Food Industry Forum in conjunction with the Business Match-making Program (Vietnam Food Forum 2018) will be organized by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), under the theme "Technology Application in agro-food trade". At the forum, there will be a business match-making program between Vietnamese companies, domestic and foreign importers, hypermarkets from the US, Japan, Korea, Russia and Hong Kong.

9h00 - 13h00, 15/11/2018: Investment promotion seminar in the field of food processing industry in Vietnam will be organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Foreign Investment Agency, Ministry of Planning and Investment. The seminar will bring to localities, industrial parks, organizations, companies and investors inside and outside the country not only a panorama but also in-depth discussions on new opportunities as well as investment trends of the food processing industry in Vietnam. At the seminar, Vietnamese participants will have opportunity to work directly with foreign entities to discuss possibilities of investment cooperation and technology transfer.

9h30 - 11h30, 15/11/2018: As an activity of the country of honor at the exhibition, the Holland Ministry of Agriculture in coordination with the Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture will chair a seminar on "Improving supply chain and food safety in Vietnam”. From 13h30 - 17h00 on the same day, after the seminar, Dutch food experts will share with Vietnamese partners the experience of building and managing food safety systems.

09h00, 16/11/2018: Sai Gon International Cooking Contest 2018 will be held. It is the cooking contest for domestic and foreign professional chefs who are living and working in Vietnam. With the desire to "bring Vietnamese ingredients to the world table", contestants will use Vietnamese food ingredient that can be exported to create beautiful, attractive and delicious dishes of typical Vietnamese and the world cuisine. Via this, the contest will send a message to chefs and cooking lovers around the world: "Vietnamese food ingredients are your right choice and fit well for your food".

In addition, many other events will be held within the framework of the exhibition, such as special trade programs between Vietnamese and foreign businesses, business cooperation contract signing ceremony, culinary shows, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 Impression Award... to provide businesses with opportunities to promote trade and investment, to honor dynamic companies to participate effectively in programs and activities of the exhibition.
