From 15-18 /11/2017, the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2017 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2017) took place at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition brings together over 450 copanies from 21 countries and territories, displaying thousands of agricultural products and foodstuffs at more than 600 booths.
At this exhibition, many Vietnamese companies are applying appropriate technologies to develop and market quality agricultural products and foodstuffs.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoang, General Director of PAN Food Joint Stock Company, said that though this was the first time the company participated in Vietnam Foodexpo 2017, but it introduced many typical products, including new products produced by leading technology in Southeast Asia today.
On the first day of Vietnam Foodexpo 2017, dozens of international business delegations came to learn about PAN Food's products, especially LAFOOCO's cashew nuts. According to Mr. Hoang, PAN's factory has been invested in modern machines to produce cashew nuts with high added value. Each year, the factory purchases about 35,000 tons of raw cashews and produces about 800 to 1,000 tons of high added value cashews for export.
Kim Hai Food Technology Co., Ltd brings to the exhibition bottled dragon fruit juice. They are high value added, innovative and novel products on the market, which are eye-catching and attract domestic and foreign customers to taste and to set up business cooperation.
Mr. Le Van Chinh, General Director of Asia Fish Oil Joint-stock Company under Sao Mai An Giang Co., Ltd said that the company introduced at the side-line conference Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 pangasius cooking oil bottles. Through many stages from farming, to filleting grease and using advanced european chain technology to refine fish fat into high quality oil with omega 3-6-9 natural ingredients, it is believed that, to seize market opportunities, the support from technology will help to exploit better the residue of agricultural products and food.
Le Ngoc Bao Tram, Senior Manager, Retail Measurement Group of Nielsen Market Research Company, said that Vietnamese consumers were more inclined to pay more for high quality, prestigious and safe agricultural products. Accordingly, if companies that produce and trade agricultural products and foodstuffs actively invest in upgrading equipment and technologies to produce quality products, they will have many opportunities for development.
