Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 – A major event of the food industry

Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 is an international trade promotion event in the field of agricultural and food products. The exhibition will take place from 14^th to 17^th November at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and directly implemented by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program.

This is a large-scale event, reaching up to 600 standard booths of 450 exhibitors from 31 provinces and cities of Vietnam. In addition, the exhibition also involves exhibitors from 23 foreign countries and territories.

At Vietnam Foodexpo 2018, 6 showcase groups will be organized into specific sectors including vegetables, seafood, beverages, tea and coffee, food ingredients and processed foods. This year, the exhibition will focus on businesses that have organic products such as rice, pepper, cinnamon, etc to convey the message that Vietnam is a country with sustainable food production capacity.

In addition, the exhibition also covers an area of ​​nearly 100 booths displaying advanced domestic and foreign agricultural and food processing machines, equipment and technology. This area is named Foodtech, to help boosting technology transfer, improving productivity and quality of the food processing industry in Vietnam.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 witnesses a sharp increase in the demand for registration of companies. The exhibition will have the presence of many reputable brands, including those of the Vietnam National Brand Vietnam, famous foreign corporations, and a large number of small and medium companies active in the food industry in Vietnam and the world.

This year, the exhibition welcomes the Netherlands as a country of honor. As a small country, the Netherlands has a very well-developed food industry, with the second highest export value of agricultural and food products. Participating in Vietnam Foodexpo 2018, Dutch experts will share with Vietnam experiences in applying information technology in agro-food trade, building, improving the food supply chain and managing food safety.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 is expected to continue to be a prestigious destination for foreign partners to learn about the increasingly diversified supply of agricultural and products in Vietnam; thus promoting more opportunities for export of agricultural and food products.

Within the framework of the exhibition, there will be a variety of events such as the Vietnam International Conference on Food Industry in Vietnam, combining with the Business Match-making Program between Vietnamese suppliers and big foreign supermarket chains like Walmart, Aeon, Lotte, Central Group ..., Investment Promotion Seminar in the field of food processing industry, Saigon International Cooking Contest, etc.

After 3 editions held from 2015-2017, Vietnam Foodexpo has been recognized by experts as the most comprehensive exhibition of the food industry in Vietnam. Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 is expected to continue to welcome more than 20,000 visitors from all over the country and dozens of countries and territories in the world.
