Vietnam Foodexpo 2018: Convenient trading environment for agricultural and food products

Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 will be held from 14th -17th November 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City. This is an international event in the field of agricultural and products, focusing not only on large corporations but also on small and medium companies in the Vietnamese food industry and dozens of countries and territories in the world.

With a scale of over 600 booths of 450 exhibitors, Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 will be a great opportunity of distribution, cooperation and innovation for agricultural and food producers.

At the exhibition, vegetables, seafood, beverages, tea and coffee, food ingredients, processed foods will still be six dynamic groups of the Vietnamese food industry displayed in separate regions. In addition, the exhibition will also cover a large area displaying a variety of Vietnamese and foreign agricultural and food processing machines, equipment and technology.

Visitors to the exhibition will have many opportunities to directly learn about Vietnamese agricultural and food products which have been well-known for their brands in the domestic market and exported to many countries around the world, together with innovative products new products, high value-added products in line with modern consumer trends, special products from foreign countries. In addition, visitors will be able to experience exciting food shows, attend a series of trade and investment promotion seminars in the field of agricultural and food sector, business match-making programs with local and foreign traders, distributors, etc.

Over the past three years, Vietnam Foodexpo has proved to be a favorable environment to support businesses to promote, introduce products, expand markets, create opportunities to expand cooperation with potential partners at home and abroad, carry out joint venture activities, etc.

Dr. Huynh Kim Dinh - Director of Vinh Long Department of Plantation and Plant Protection organized a business delegation of sweet potato and fruit cooperatives of Vinh Long province to participate in Vietnam Foodexpo 2017. She said it was surprising that the local products brought to the exhibition reached a large number of domestic and foreign customers. "Vietnam Foodexpo is really a very professional, prestigious and valuable promotion channel for local businesses", Dinh said.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director General of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: "There will be only three months until the opening of Vietnam Foodexpo 2018. However, we have receive positive news from domestic and foreign enterprises registering to exhibit and visit at the exhibition. This is a sign that Vietnam Foodexpo has become a forum of trade and investment links for Vietnamese food companies not only in the domestic market but also in the global market".

Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 welcomed over 24,000 visitors from all over the world, including over 15,000 trade visitors, among which there were nearly 3,000 international trade visitors. Vietnam Foodexpo 2018 is expected to continue attracting a large number of prospective visitors to trade directly at booths.
