Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 attracts 400 domestic and international exhibitors

Vietnam Foodexpo is an important trade promotion event of the agriculture, fisheries and food industries. It has the largest scale in Vietnam, implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with related domestic and foreign organizations and companies.

Talking to the press reporters on November 9^th 2016, Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade said that, Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 were receiving great attentions and enthusiastic responses of the business community. Up to now, Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 had attracted 550 booths of 400 domestic and international exhibitors. In particular, a large number of booths at the exhibition had been registered by top-name enterprises in Vietnam food industry such as Quang Ngai Sugar, Habeco, Sabeco, K-coffee, Phuc Long, Nam Phuong, Antesco, Tan Nhat Huong, Vinamilk, Minh Long, Dawn, Saigon Satra, Tigifood, Vinafood 1, Vinafood 2...

After its first edition in May last year, Vietnam Foodexpo has been rated by experts as a meticulously and methodically organized event, which has brought real value to businesses. Therefore, leading enterprises will not miss the opportunity to promote their brand image, enhance brand strength, consolidate and further develop market segments at the large scaled and reputable Vietnam Foodexpo.

In 2016, Italy has been invited as the Country of Honor in Vietnam Foodexpo. There will be many Italian companies coming to Vietnam. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese companies study the way to do business of companies from a leading food processing country in the world.

Domestic and foreign companies will showcase a variety of commodities, including: vegetables (fresh, dried, canned and frozen); seafood (frozen, canned and processed); beverages (wine, beer and soft drinks); tea and coffee; food ingredients (rice, nuts, spices, seasonings, sauces ...); processed food (confectionery, dairy, dairy products, canned and processed food, instant food, and specialty food); and food processing technology and machinery.

Regarding the contents of the exhibition, according to Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 will continue to have many practical and attractive activities to promote trade and investment.

The pavilion, “Investment in developing the food sector”, will be of the featured pavilions at Vietnam Foodexpo 2016. Attend this pavilion for witnessing the introduction of Vietnam’s local industrial parks and provinces - reliable destinations for investment in Vietnam’s food sector.

This Pavillion will also introduce about localities, industrial parks which are reliable investment destination in Vietnam in the food industry, thereby effectively support foreign businesses who are interested in investing in Vietnam next time.

Besides the above contents, within the framework of Vietnam Foodexpo 2016, there will be several notable activities, such as specialized business match-making programs between Vietnamese and international companies, signing ceremony of business contracts, Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 Impression Awards.

The chain of seminars and conferences at the exhibition will update businesses with more useful information about the potential markets, support technology transfer, introduce production and business models of developed countries.

In parallel, the Vietnam International Food Technology Exhibition 2016 (Vietnam Foodtech 2016) will be held at the same time with Vietnam Foodexpo 2016. Vietnam Foodtech 2016 will introduce modern technology and machines for deep production and processing of superior quality food products with high added value and competitive prices, supporting export enterprises in sustainable development, particularly in the context of Vietnam’s economy going to deep integration into the global economy.

Vietnam Foodtech 2016 will be an effective channel for Vietnamese food processing companies to approach the world’s competitive production industry and high-demanding food markets.

Under the plan, the Vietnam Foodexpo will take place from November 16^th – 19^th at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

With several activities taking place throughout the event, the Organizing Committee of Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 expects the event will attract more than 20,000 visitors.
