Though just at its second edition, Vietnam Foodexpo has become a largest and most comprehensive specialized event in Vietnam food industry, with more than 550 booths of 400 exhibitors from 30 provinces / cities across the country and 15 foreign countries, showcasing thousands of agricultural products, food and beverages. "The most prominent feature of Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 is its scale and international standard organization quality," said Mr. Bui Huy Son, Director General of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Organizer of the exhibition said at a meeting with reporters from news agencies and press at the exhibition.

Booths at the exhibition were arranged according to rational functional areas, covering the whole area of 10,000 m2 of Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
Many top names of Vietnam food and beverages sector exhibited and introduced products at the exhibition. Among those were national brand awarded enterprises such as Sabeco, Habeco, Vinamilk, Antesco, Rang Dong, Tigifood, together with other large enterprises such as Vinafood 1, Vinafood 2, Hapro Group, Saigon Satra, Binh Thuan Vegetables, Huu Nghi Food, Quang Ngai Sugar, Thach Bich Mineral Water, Biscafun Confectionery, Sa Giang Food, Cau Tre Food, Bich Chi, K-coffe, Tan Nhat Huong, Vin-Eco, etc ... These enterprises brought to the exhibition their dominant products in the domestic and export markets, contributing to raising the level, scale, position, quality and intrinsic value of the exhibition.
A significant number of small businesses, small and medium-sized companies participated in the exhibition to promote brand image through elaborately impressive designed booth, highlighting the messages of products strongly invested in packaging and quality, with good development prospects in the domestic market and export. Some companies though located in bad corners of the exhibition such as JSC By Tran & Do, Health & Beauty Co., Ltd. ... but their booths were appraised excellently nice in design and display by foreign experts. Their products met the demands of consumers, their service personnel at the booth were professionally trained. These were factors that help them achieved many good results from the exhibition.
Together with Vietnamese companies, there were also world well-known companies such as the Turatti (Italy) and those from powerful countries in food industry such as Agro, Fisheries and Food Corporation (Korea), Atex Co., Ltd (Japan)... at the exhibition.

Mr. Leon Trujilo - Colombian brand experts of the Center for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI, the Netherlands) said that, this was the second time he visited the exhibition. "With this exhibition, I see significant improvements in the quality of the booths, more attractive designs of product packages, more clearly brand positioning of exhibitors. The service personnel at many booths are quite professional. They can communicate and introduce their products in English," commented Leon Trujilo.
Not only paying intensive focus on traditional displays, Vietnam Foodexpo 2016 also focused on business matchmaking activities, investment promotion, connections of prospective distributors, importers and investors in order to create favorable conditions for the access, expansion and development of consumption markets domestically and internationally of exhibitors and visitors.
Along with that, the Vietnam International Food Technology Exhibition 2016 (Vietnam Foodtech 2016) was also held in parallel with Vietnam Foodexpo 2016. There were a significant number of exhibitors from of many countries with the developed food industry.
"This is the best opportunity for Vietnamese companies to access to, have updates about modern equipment, processing technology, food preservation; aiming to ensure food safety, meet the requirements of export and add value for Vietnam processed food in the coming time", Bui Huy Son – Director General of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency emphasized.
This year Vietnam Foodexpo has welcomed tens of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors to visit and have business transactions. Mr. Luong Xuan Son – Marketing Director of Bonie Bee Co., Ltd. reviewed that, there was a good change in the quality of visitors to Bonie Bee booth in particular and many other booths at the exhibition in general compared to the exhibition held last year. "The number of trade visitors are more than that of last year. It is proved that the PR activities for the exhibition were implemented very professionally”, Mr. Luong Xuan Son added.
